PROJECT PURPOSE
The Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project is a project plan and design is underway. The preliminary cost estimate for the project is $15,000,000. Our consultant E Source is working with staff to fully scope and bid the project in 2022. This project will require every meter in Norman be excavated, replaced, and water lines leading to and from identified. This will play a crucial role in our City identifying lead and copper lines that might be present within our system. This inventory of lead and copper lines will be used in our efforts to replace all lead and copper lines within the City of Norman.
