PROJECT PURPOSE
The Hefner Water Treatment Plant (WTP) serves water to 1/3rd of Oklahoma City water customers and Draper WTP serves the remainder. The interconnect project will improve system resiliency and reliability by installing a transmission main and booster stations between the two treatment plants, to ensure water service to the entire City and surrounding communities from either water treatment plant, in the event of an outage. This project includes three segments remaining to complete the project.
EVIDENCE
This project does not require interventions.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
A majority of qualified census tracts in the State of Oklahoma are in the Central Oklahoma region. The variables considered in the ranking include socioeconomic factors, household composition and disability, minority status and language, and housing type and transportation. This project will enable vulnerable populations to benefit from this project through infrastructure improvements, economic investments, and public safety reliability in the region.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
The City of Oklahoma City uses key performance indicators for projects to evaluate the success of a project. Measures include tracking actual to planned Project Completion Time, Budget to Actual, and Engineering Estimate compared to Actual Bids. Plan for collecting required programmatic data includes inspection, schedule tracking/Gantt Charts, and progress meetings using software such as GIS, Primavera, and future use of a Project Management Information System.
