PROJECT PURPOSE
The project would install and repair storm drains on Highway 19 & Indian Meridian, Earl Street, Cedar Street and Pine Street. This would allow storm water control in our community and reduce flooding.
EVIDENCE
Our City floods in these designated areas and these improvements would help alleviate our flooding problems. We are in a flood prone (FEMA-AE Zone) area and experience flooding with as little as two inches of rain.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
This project will greatly improve travel for emergency services and access to these neighborhoods that are prone to flooding. There are many elderly, young and handicapped in these areas.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
Engineering and contractor reports, along with inspection reports will aid in insuring all guidelines and engineering requirements are followed.
