PROJECT PURPOSE

The Statewide Law Enforcement Communications System, as referenced in 47 O.S. Section 2-124, requires hardware and software updates to replace end-of-life equipment at select sites. This system is used daily by 500+ local, state, federal, and tribal public safety agencies. Failure of this system would be catastrophic to those law, fire, and emergency medical entity's ability to perform their core mission.

EVIDENCE

The hardware being replaced reached its end-of-life on January 1, 2020. The manufacturer provided a 7-year notice ahead of this, but with limited funding, the State was never able to complete all replacements.


POPULATION DESCRIPTION

This system is used daily by 500+ local, state, federal, and tribal public safety entitles across Oklahoma. Without the communication system, law enforcement, fire, medical entities would not be able to effectively communicate with each other which could cause irreparable harm to the public at large.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The statement of work consists of upgrading 19 sites, the systems core server, and 29 antenna systems. The measurement will be acceptance of installation, configuration, licensing, and confirmation of go-live over-the-air transmitting.
