PROJECT PURPOSE
Repair, replacement and expansion of sewer lagoons, lift stations and water treatment facilities across state park system.
EVIDENCE
Capital requests submitted to the Legislature annually. Capital reinvestment has been severely underfunded for decades, leaving park sewer infrastructure in a deficient state.
POPULATION DESCRIPTION
The deterioration of sewer infrastructure at state parks could cause negative impacts to waterways and lakes, in turn, negatively impacting water quality and water sources for communities surrounding the parks.
PERFORMANCE MEASURING
OTRD has a Capital Projects team and current design-build contract that would allow the agency to quickly implement the project, and has already identified infrastructure to be included in this project. Construction reports and close-out information would be collected by the agency directly.
