PROJECT PURPOSE

Due to the increasing number of COVID tests taking up direct patient-physician time, needing more space for social distancing, and critical patient growth, we are in need of expanding our Rural Health Care Clinics or build new larger locations. This expansion would also allow us to provide not only medical but increase our dental services to the underserved in Southwest Oklahoma. This includes the Main location, Elgin, Fredrick, and a remodeled area for Obstetrics and Gynecology.

EVIDENCE

LCHC is currently seeing over 40, 000 patients which is an increase of over 10,000 new patients due to healthcare needs. Elgin and Fredrick are for growth and a great need for medical care. To make room for additional providers and the need for enhanced medical care post-COVID-19.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

These communities are rural and have little to no healthcare available without these clinics in place. They were/are unable to get COVID Testing, results, or treatments without the resources these clinics can and could offer. If a COVID patient had to be hospitalized they had/have to come to Comanche County Memorial which for some is over an hour away.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

Close records are kept on all LCHC patients including, the number of patients seen each day, patient wait times, patient satisfaction scores, the total average cost per patient vs state, and national norms. This is how the data will be collected.
