PROJECT PURPOSE

A comprehensive evaluation was conducted at the North Canadian Wastewater Treatment Plant due to the age of the facilities and corrosive environment. The purpose of the project is to construct process equipment and structure improvements which have reached the end of their useful life as well as electrical improvements to comply with National Electrical Code (NEC) to improve operator safety and plant operational resiliency.

POPULATION DESCRIPTION

A majority of qualified census tracts in the State of Oklahoma are in the Central Oklahoma region. The variables considered in the ranking include socioeconomic factors, household composition and disability, minority status and language, and housing type and transportation. This project will enable vulnerable populations to benefit from this project through infrastructure improvements.

PERFORMANCE MEASURING

The City of Oklahoma City uses key performance indicators for projects to evaluate the success of a project. Measures include tracking actual to planned Project Completion Time, Budget to Actual, and Engineering Estimate compared to Actual Bids. Plan for collecting required programmatic data includes inspection, schedule tracking/Gantt Charts, and progress meetings using software such as GIS, Primavera, and future use of a Project Management Information System.
